Welcome to Namibia Mineral Impressions

An intense love for minerals and sophisticated appreciation for mineral aesthetics are what motivated us to become two of the youngest mineral collectors in Namibia. As a husband and wife team who have been operating a very successful tour operating business for nearly a decade, we have the opportunity of travelling the length and breadth of our expansive country regularly and discovering new pieces of exquisite quality and beauty.

We’re very fortunate to draw on our own experiences and those of our colleagues, family and friends in the mineral world to bring together great ideas and produce a website to satisfy mineral lovers.  We’d like to thank our dad, as well as Dr. Steffen Jahn, Dr. Gerhard Niedermayr and Mr. Rainer Bode of  Mineralien Welt for their continuous support and for freely sharing their extensive knowledge with us.

No enhancements, alterations, or manipulation are done to any image except cropping, file size optimization, and colour balancing (to achieve a true on-screen representation.)  Although images will differ from screen to screen depending on hardware, we make every effort to ensure the specimens will balance in with the natural look as good as possible. Pictures were all taken under natural sunlight or Osram neon light.
